Her story ...
Ming Hui, early 30s, has 4 children of age 12, 8, 7 and 4. Even being a young mom, she too has to work to supplement the household expenses. She has worked from beauty consultant, admin and property agent. As a working mom, life is a struggle trying to have a work-life balance. As her work requires more commitment from her, she has lesser time to spend with her kids.
Every year, Ming Hui had missed important events such as her kids’ school performance, sports’ carnival and even school graduation ceremony. It hurts when her kids showed her a disappointing face. Even little things like a haircut was taken care by the kids’ guardians. She felt that there is an invisible wall has built between her kids and her. She is no longer close to her kids.
Life is all about the choices you made. To Ming Hui, her kids are definitely her priority and building up the relationship with her kids is the most important task on the list right now. It suddenly occurs to her that she needs to have a change in her career.
One day, she has spoken a business consultant in an exhibition and was introduced to a business opportunity, which will allow her to operate from home. It is an online business allowing customers to design and place and order for rubber stamps. She was totally convinced that this was perhaps the best solution for her current situation and she signed up for it immediately.
After operating the business for 2 weeks, Ming Hui is happy to know that this has created another source of income for her. She then changed to a part-time job while doing this profitable business at the same time. Now, she has more free time with her kids and her kids are more willing to share what’s happening in school. With the great opportunity and profit margin, she is considering on running her rubber stamps business full time.

INTERVIEW HIGHLIGHTS
Conducted by Get Real Business Group
GR: Get Real, M: Ming Hui
GR: Wow Ming Hui. I don’t believe that you have 4 kids! You have such a great figure!
M: Haha. I do love kids and I enjoy growing them and give them a wonderful childhood. I believe that’s every moms’ wish!
GR: In this society, it’s common that moms need to balance between work and family. Share with us how are you coping with this?
M: Just one word – TOUGH. Basically its very hard to enjoy the best of both worlds. I love my kids so much but I do love my job too. A lot of time my work requires more commitment from me and I really hate to disappoint my kids by not turning up at their school performance and sports’ day.
GR: Please share with our readers what secret have you found that allows you to have more time with your kids.
M: I started an online business selling rubber stamps in early July this year. The beauty about online business is that business is in operation for 24/7. I do not need to have a shop front and that allows me to sell anywhere at anytime. With this business, I actually depend lesser on my current job because now I have an alternative source of income.
GR: Why rubber stamps then?
M: There is a huge demand for rubber stamps from all sorts of companies, agencies, society, non-for-profit organization, schools and many more. And each company will need at least 2 stamps. Other than the demand, the profits that I am earning through this e-portal is 1500%! Can you imagine that? Haha.
GR: So if you are doing this from home, don’t you need to keep a lot of the stock?
M: No, I don’t have to keep any stock at all. My e-portal was set up by Rubber Stamp Nowhere Pte Ltd and they also took care of the production of the rubber stamps plus the delivery to my customers. The business model is structured as such so that I won’t have to worry about the inventory and logistics. This is definitely a gem to all stay-at-home moms or working moms who want to have a passive income.
